Who is Dashiva Really?

Dashiva is certainly not the dreamer that he appears to be, or at least, that’s not all he is. I believe that Dashiva is really Osan’gar aka Aginor. He has to be somewhere . I have several reasons for believing this is the case. Dashiva speaks the Old Tongue fluently, he often plays with his face like Osan’gar does (as he is unused to this new face), and he is prone to fits of giggling - just like Aginor after he escaped the Bore. He is also very strong in the Power and is almost useless with a sword. Aginor was never a soldier; he was a scientist.

Now, if Dashiva is Aginor, it is likely he has received orders similar to those of Demandred, not to attack Rand, but to "let the Lord of Chaos rule." Perhaps he broke up the attack via compulsion, hoping to get control of the four Asha’man before sending them back to Taim or some such thing. Unfortunately, Rand spotted him. He is furious with himself and Rand and lashes out before thinking. Having been discovered, he has no choice but to flee and take the Asha’man with him. What do you think?

wotmania says: One of my personal favorite theories, that Dashiva is really Osan’gar. I agree completely on this point. It would make sense that Osan’gar, like Demandred, is not to kill Rand. If Osan’gar messes up, I would certainly not want to be in his shoes...

OK, it is January 01, I believe that WH was out by then. At the end of the book it is said that Dashiva was Oran'gar (sp?).

In WH, it was mentioned that Dashiva is really Osan’gar. Also, Osan'gar is definitely Aginor, since both were mentoned to have created the Shadowspawn. When Osan'gar first appeared in the book series, he was told he was responsibe for the creation of the Shadowspawn.

One little problem?

Perhaps I am missing something , but since when can Orangar channel anything but saidar . Surely Dashiva cannot be Orangar simply for the fact that Rand and everyone can sense saidin in him .

first of all, it's osan'gar, not oran'gar. second of all, he could never channel saidar. osan'gar and aran'gar (halima) are both male forsaken who were ressurected by the dark one. aran'gar/halima is balathamel, and osan'gar/dashiva is aginor. whats with all this crap from people about "who is dashiva?" Read WH for crying out loud. sheesh.

What a genius. Did you figure this out all by yourself? See, cuz in Winter's Heart it states pretty clearly that Osan'gar is, in fact, Dashiva. So where in the hey-yall did you get the idea that Osan'gar was Corlan Dashiva?

God, I love bashing theories. There's nothing quite so satisfying in the whole damn world.
